My mission is to help you get your projects built on time and on budget, avoiding the most common pitfalls that I’ve seen in my 7 years of building software for Silicon Valley tech start-ups.
My success has been in my process, which always starts by clearly defining what you’re trying to build and then designing it with a deep understanding of the underlying technologies required to make it all work. I have a rare blend of deep technical knowledge, business experience, and a clear communication style that has added real value to literally hundreds of young and old entrepreneurs and companies.
About Andrew Bellay
I specialize in defining, designing, developing, launching, and growing new products and business units.
I own a dev shop, MetaNeer Labs, with which my team has successfully designed and launched dozens of products since 2010. Prior to that I helped form over 220 start-ups at FounderSoup which was backed by both Andreessen Horowitz and Stanford. While MetaNeer has built a lot of software on a lot of different platforms, our deepest expertise is with iOS apps, especially on very tight timelines and budgets.
Our clients are small & large, public & private, ranging from the “2 man start-up” to $100mm series-B growth-phase companies and Fortune 500s: Stanford University, Corning Glass, the Sacramento Kings (NBA team), ExxonMobil, UCSF, WELL Health, Doctors on Demand, the University of California System.
Personally, I have a strong bias towards building and launching a minimum viable product (MVP) to customers so that we can get feedback and develop and improve on a business model before we run out of money.
My Formal Education:
- MS, Management Science & Engineering, Stanford University
- BS, Chemical Engineering Honors, University of Texas at Austin
- BA, Plan II Honors (Liberal Arts), University of Texas at Austin
